I’m Sandy Gardner, L & D Coordinator at Queensland Computers, Apple Professional Learning Specialist, and Microsoft Innovative Educator skilled with Windows technology. With 30 years in the classroom and experience as a university tutor, I help teachers turn technology into everyday practice that’s authentic and achievable.
Dave Capill is an experienced educational leader and current Deputy Principal at Gladstone West State School in CQ. He has led in a wide range of school contexts, including primary and secondary, public and private, metropolitan and rural settings, bringing a deep understanding of the diverse needs of students and communities
Dominique Lamb is an experienced leader across corporate affairs and the not-for-profit sector. She previously served as CEO of the National Retail Association and as Queensland Small Business Commissioner (2022–2025), and is now Director of Community Affairs for the Brisbane Olympic Games, with a strong focus on community advocacy.
Adrian Rayner is a digital innovation leader specialising in immersive technologies for education. Formerly working in government education, Adrian now leads Rayner Digital Labs, where he designs and delivers meaningful virtual and augmented reality learning experiences that support students across Australia.
As founder and director of Queensland Computers, Dr Geoff Augutis brings together deep academic expertise and real‑world industry leadership. With a PhD in Educational Technology, Geoff translates complex ideas about AI, digital capability, and workforce change into practical, audience‑focused discussions.
Monique Evans works at the intersection of education, industry, and government, with a focus on strengthening pathways and workforce systems in rural and regional contexts.She specialises in using economic and workforce data to inform curriculum decisions, supporting schools and systems to align learning with future skills needs.
Elected in 2024, Cr Michelle Wagner’s career has centred on business strategy and management, communications, community engagement, marketing, journalism and teaching. Her vision is to have a region where every community benefits from well-considered local government planning and governance, and residents are genuinely respected, listened to, and represented fairly.
Rod Ainsworth is CQUniversity’s Associate Vice-President for the Gladstone and Wide Bay Regions. He has been in the role for just on 8 months and is loving the challenge and balance of working across two regions. Rod is an educator at heart, having worked as a secondary teacher for seven years early in his career.
