Running over the course of a morning, the Summit Breakfast provides an opportunity for attendees to build their network, develop their skills as emerging education leaders. The program is as follows:

Geoff McLay.png

7:30 - 8:00am | From Classroom to Leadership: Lessons for the Next Generation of Leaders

In this opening keynote, Geoff McLay shares a thoughtful and encouraging reflection on their leadership journey in education, from the classroom to senior leadership. Through honest stories, moments of uncertainty, and lessons learned along the way, the session explores how leadership is shaped through relationships, purpose, and a willingness to grow.

Created especially for emerging and aspiring leaders, this keynote will affirm those who are beginning to step forward and those still quietly discerning their path. It invites educators to consider what it means to lead with authenticity, to remain grounded in values, and to influence others well—long before a formal title is given.

8:00 - 8:30am | Mentoring Session #1

From there our first round of mentoring will begin. This will see all attendees grouped with a leading mentor in a field they are looking for guidance and advice on.

8:30 - 9:00am |  Authentic Leadership: Building Trust, Connection & Purpose

In an increasingly complex and fast-paced educational landscape, authentic leadership has become one of the most important drivers of healthy culture, staff engagement and organisational trust.

Drawing on insights from interviewing more than 8,000 educational leaders across Australia, Fiona Hutton explores the leadership qualities that build genuinely connected and high-performing teams.

Fiona will challenge educators to reflect on the difference between positional leadership and authentic influence, exploring how school leaders can foster cultures where people feel valued, empowered and connected to a shared purpose.

9:00 - 9:30am | Mentoring Session #2

Attendees will then move into our second curated mentoring sessions of the morning as they join a small group of likeminded professionals and an experienced mentor in their field.

9:30 - 10:00am | Networking & Wrap Up

From there our official program for the breakfast will come to a close with attendees welcome to stay and continue networking before they head back to school.
