Can Microsoft Teams replace a learning management system in K–12?

Microsoft Teams has become an integral part of teaching in many schools. Lessons, meetings, and collaboration often begin there, making it a familiar hub for day-to-day classroom activity.

For schools that also use a learning management system (LMS) such as Canvas, it's worth asking: if Teams already supports teaching and learning, what additional value does an LMS provide?
