Lauren Germanotta is an experienced educator with over ten years of teaching experience across a variety of educational settings and systems. She spent four years teaching overseas, gaining valuable international experience and developing a broad perspective on diverse teaching practices and student needs.
Lauren has worked across multiple schooling contexts, including Montessori education, mainstream primary classrooms, relief teaching, and secondary education. These experiences have shaped her flexible and student-centred approach to learning, allowing her to support a wide range of learners effectively.
She holds a Master’s degree in Educational Neuroscience, which informs her evidence-based approach to teaching and learning. Lauren is passionate about applying research on how the brain learns to create engaging, supportive, and developmentally appropriate learning environments for young students.
For the past three years, Lauren has been a Year 1 teacher at The Lakes College, where she also serves as the Academic Care Coordinator for Year 1. In this role, she works collaboratively with colleagues to support student wellbeing, academic growth, and a positive transition into the primary years. Lauren is committed to fostering inclusive classrooms where every child feels supported, challenged, and inspired to learn.
