Amanda von Kanel

Amanda von Kanel is an accomplished educational leader dedicated to cultivating meaningful relationships with students, staff and families. As Director of Student Development at Canterbury College, she champions student leadership, community service initiatives, enterprise and entrepreneurship, creating authentic opportunities for young people to build confidence, resilience and real world skills.

Amanda forges strong partnerships with the community, local businesses and industry mentors, enabling students to launch and manage start ups that have earned local, state and national recognition. She leads student driven initiatives including major events, leadership workshops, development days/camps, peer mentoring programs, service learning projects and the Years 9 and 10 Micro-credentials Program, focused on developing transferable skills for future pathways.
