Steve Baker

Steve Baker is an experienced educational leader with a strong commitment to building authentic relationships and fostering collaborative, high-performing learning communities. As Head of Primary at Cannon Hill Anglican College, and through a range of senior leadership roles including Acting Deputy Principal, Steve brings nearly three decades of experience across teaching, pastoral care, and strategic leadership.

Passionate about empowering both staff and students, Steve’s leadership is grounded in creating meaningful connections that support agency, shared purpose, and positive school cultures. He is dedicated to building inclusive environments where individuals feel supported to grow, contribute, and thrive, while working collaboratively towards continuous improvement across the broader College community.

Supported by advanced study in educational leadership and Cognitive Coaching, Steve is recognised for his thoughtful and people-centred approach to leadership. His work continues to focus on cultivating cultures of trust, wellbeing, and professional growth that enable both educators and young people to succeed in an evolving educational landscape.
