Geoff McLay is the Deputy Executive Director of the Anglican Schools Commission and brings more than forty years of experience in education across both government and independent sectors. With 23 years of experience as a school principal, Geoff is recognised for his thoughtful, people-centred approach to leadership and his deep commitment to the role schools play in shaping young lives and communities.
From 2010 to 2024, Geoff served as Principal of West Moreton Anglican College, leading the school through a period of significant growth, cultural renewal, and strengthened Anglican identity. Throughout his career, he has consistently prioritised student wellbeing, pastoral care, and a values-driven understanding of education, believing that meaningful relationships and authentic leadership are central to school success.
Beyond school leadership, Geoff has made significant contributions to the wider education community through governance, mentorship, and sector advocacy, including long-standing service with Independent Schools Queensland and the Anglican Schools Commission. Holding postgraduate qualifications in education, business, and theology, Geoff continues to support leaders and school communities to flourish with integrity, purpose, and a strong focus on people.
