Rod Ainsworth

Rod Ainsworth is CQUniversity’s Associate Vice-President for the Gladstone and Wide Bay Regions. He has been in the role for just on 8 months and is loving the challenge and balance of working across two regions. Rod is an educator at heart, having worked as a secondary teacher for seven years early in his career. Having worked in regional development for most of his professional life, Rod has seen, time and again, that communities who value and celebrate education and its role in building aspiration are the ones that thrive. Rod is proud to represent an organisation which is embedded in our region and which provides access to high quality teaching, learning and research which genuinely changes lives.
