Impact Community ACADEMY
Jenna Auer is the Founding Principal of Impact Community Academy, Bundaberg’s newest special assistance school.
Holding a Master of Education (Special Educational Needs) and Bachelor of Education (Primary), Jenna began her career in a low socio-economic primary school before transitioning to special assistance schools, where she has spent the last seven years as an educational leader. During this time, she has developed programs that support marginalized youth in achieving their Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL), and more recently, their Victorian Certificate of Education - Vocational Major (VCE-VM) and Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC).
Her approach integrates a primary model of project-based learning and integrated units into senior secondary education, aiming to create engaging and supportive learning environments for all students.
Jenna believes in creating an inclusive and supportive educational environment where every student feels valued and empowered to reach their full potential. She has a passion for fostering trauma-informed learning practices, recognizing the unique challenges each student faces and providing the necessary support to overcome them. She acknowledges that behaviour often reflects unmet needs and is committed to fostering resilience, promoting equity, and inspiring a love for learning through innovative and engaging teaching methods.
